Menard KOs Bernardo in three

While the first fight in tonight’s ShoBox card may not have exactly provided some fireworks, Mason Menard looked to buck that trend in his lightweight bout against Eudy Bernardo.

Menard got started early, coming out very aggressively in the first round. In the second round, Menard had a big round, landing some leather on Bernardo and knocking him down, but Bernardo was able to get through the round.

Bernardo looked to try to change the pace in the third round, by going after Menard, but Menard was patient, ducked shots and landed clean counters.

Ultimately, he landed a clean counter overhand right hook that had Bernardo out before he hit the canvas.

Menard, who the Showtime broadcast crew said has kept his fights off of YouTube and social media, may not be under-the-radar any more.
